Super heroes all!

A needle prick can do what a spider bite can’t……………………….instantly turn you into a superhero !image

It will just take a few minutes of your time, a pint of the five litres you have and a little love. You don’t need extra strength to donate or extra nourishment to replenish what you have given. Not all heroes need super powers to save lives. Sometimes a little humanity is enough.
Donate Blood regularly. We know you’ve got it in you!

There are no perfect substitutes for human blood so we have to depend on each other for it. The 350 m.l you donate is divided into various components which can be used by different recipients. So you can help up to four people by one altruistic gesture. Any one between 18-60 yrs of age, weighing more than 50 kg, with a Haemoglobin level above 12.5 gm% is eligible. It takes just three months to restock so you can donate quarterly. Apart from the obvious benefit of happiness which a good deed brings it will prevent Iron buildup and will give your sluggish system a much needed reboot. Also a few free tests will confirm that you are healthy and not suffering from any transmittable diseases.

So wake up, have breakfast and join the cause or …………..don’t.
But what excuse do you have ? Are you too busy, too timid or is it that you just don’t care ?

Blood is meant to circulate. Help us pass it around!

Very noble thoughts. Blood donation benefits should be taught in schools so that it becomes a way of life

Yes Rainy, thats an idea, but I think our education is centred around scoring marks……so either it will become an avenue to improve grades or it won’t be taught ( just be in the prospectus!!)
